Education Leadership Conference 2015
Keep YOUR Torch Ignited: Transforming Physical Therapy Education
The Education Section and the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT) hereby issue a call for educational session, platform and poster presentation proposals for the Educational Leadership Conference 2015. Abstracts will be accepted until midnight, Eastern Standard Time, April 12, 2015.
ELC 2015 follows the first Innovation in Physical Therapy Education Forum, the Clinical Education Summit and the initiation of the Ignite Presentations. Our goal is to continue to use the ELC to ignite change in physical therapy education. We are seeking presentations that promote these conference topics: "Evaluating Readiness for Clinical Practice (PT and PTA)," "Supporting Student Success," and "Innovations in Teaching and Learning in PT and PTA Education." These topics will highlight innovative classroom and clinical practices or explore novel approaches to educational leadership for all aspects of transforming physical therapy education.
The ELC Abstract Review Committee strives to select a balanced representation of abstracts to meet educational leadership programming needs for the intended audiences of academic and clinical faculty in physical therapist and physical therapist assistant education. We invite submissions that are focused on the presented topics for meeting the needs of one or more of these audiences, for both clinic and classroom educational environments.
All presentations must be submitted through ScholarOne at https://apta-elc2015.abstractcentral.com. Please delete any identifying information in the body of your submission to assure a masked review. There is a 3000 character limit for the body of each platform/poster abstract and a 9000 character limit for the body of each educational session submitted. Author information and references are not counted in the character limit. There is a $30 charge per submission. Authors are invited to submit more than one (1) proposal, although only one (1) educational session from the primary author will be accepted for presentation.
