Professional Bio
Dr. Conrad is currently a Professor at Arkansas Colleges of Health Education, where he teaches foundational and applied coursework including anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics/kinesiology, cardiopulmonary physical therapy, and lymphedema management.
In addition to his full-time academic appointment since 2006, Dr. Conrad has maintained clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, acute care, and home health physical therapy.
Dr. Conrad has published and presented on topics including anatomy and biomechanics, women’s health, and teaching and learning in anatomy education at state and national physical therapy, occupational therapy, and education conferences. He is a co-author of an Anatomy Synopsis series consisting of six online anatomy textbooks, as well as a biomechanics text. His current scholarly work focuses on the relationship between spatial aptitude and the understanding of anatomy.
Dr. Conrad currently serves as Chair of the Anatomy Educators Special Interest Group and as a member of the Board of Directors for the APTA Academy of Education. He has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2002.
