Professional Bio

With 24 years of experience in a wide variety of settings, Dr. Wiedman has treated patients ranging in age from 2-106, in settings from long-term care to Division II college athletics. Dr. Wiedman also spent 16 years in leadership positions including rural critical access as well as urban hospitals. Dr. Wiedman conducts research on leadership and management-related professional topics in physical therapy as well as geriatrics. Dr. Wiedman currently serves as an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Allen College in Waterloo, IA. He is also faculty for the LAMP Leadership 101 and 201 continuing education courses offered by the APTA Academy of Leadership and Innovation. He is an active member of the LAMP Leadership Committee, having served as committee chair in the past and current chair of the curriculum sub-committee. He holds masters and doctoral degrees in physical therapy from Northwestern University and a PhD in Education from Drake University.
