Amanda Heilman

Amanda Heilman earned a Master of Health Science in Health Science Education from Washburn University in 2022. Before that, she earned an Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) in 2012. She is currently the Administrative Program Coordinator (PD/ACCE) at WITCC. She began her career as an educator in PTA education as an adjunct instructor at WITCC in 2014. She also served as a clinical instructor in the private practice where she worked for seven years.

Amanda has been active in the APTA as a student, clinician, and educator. She served as the Iowa APTA - Student Ambassador from 2011-2012; PTA SIG Chair, Iowa Chapter from 2017-2018; and PTA Caucus Representative – Alternate, Iowa Chapter in 2015. She has continued participating in the APTA through the PTA Education SIG teaching and learning communities.
