Deidra Anderson, PT, DPT

A pediatric physical therapist transitioning into academic practice with a growing portfolio of teaching, service, and scholarly engagement. I bring extensive clinical experience in pediatrics, including early intervention, developmental disorders, complex medical conditions, and specialize in scoliosis using the schroth method. This informs my instruction across foundational and advanced DPT coursework. I teach in multiple areas of the curriculum, including professionalism, patient interviewing, human movement, pediatrics, business and career planning, as well as clinical preparation.
I am actively involved in curriculum development, interprofessional education, and student mentorship. My scholarly interest include pediatric case-based learning, simulation-based assessment, and integration of AI to improve documentation feedback and grading efficiency.
I'm committed to advancing pediatric physical therapy education, supporting student development, and contributing to innovative teaching practices within the DPT program.
