Professional Bio
Dr. Emily Henneman, PT, DPT is an Assistant Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist and Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult, with over 10 years of clinical experience focused on the older adult population. She continues to practice in home health and has presented at local and national conferences.
Her teaching focuses on Management of the Aging Adult, Mindful Clinical Practice, and Business Management. Her scholarly interests span end-of-life care, educational alliance, clinical education, and admissions in physical therapy education. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, including the Academy of Geriatric Physical Therapy and the Academy of Physical Therapy Education.
