Professional Bio
Nijoel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from CSU Stanislaus, and Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Carrington College. Nijoel conferred his Master of Science degree in Exercise Science-Physiology, from Concordia University Chicago, where his thesis research focused on high intensity training in Stroke rehabilitation. Nijoel's areas of clinical experience range from outpatient orthopedic to the acute care hospital setting, the latter of which he became more involved, sitting on various clinical practice guideline committees including those for Cardiopulmonary and Neurological rehabilitation. From there, serving as a clinical instructor led to an interest in academia where an adjunct faculty role led to a full time program directorship. Nijoel leads with a focus on communication and collaboration, bringing a motivational teaching style to the classroom. Nijoel strives to help aspiring physical therapy students of any age to embrace passion for the career they have chosen. He serves the next generation of physical therapy clinicians so they may recognize their potential to positively impact a person’s life with their presence, support, and addition of physical activity. It is his encompassing goal that more individuals, ranging from students to patients, will be inspired to Choose PT and make the decision to live life to its fullest.
