Professional Bio

Rebecca Dobler, PT, DPT, EdD is an Assistant Professor and Director of Interprofessional Education in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at George Fox University. She teaches across the curriculum, with a focus on primary care physical therapy, pharmacology, differential diagnosis, and medical-surgical management. With over 25 years of clinical experience spanning acute care, outpatient, and sports medicine, Dr. Dobler brings rich clinical context to her teaching and mentorship.

She holds a Doctor of Education in Health Professions from A.T. Still University and leads interprofessional education efforts across health programs at George Fox. Dr. Dobler’s current scholarly work centers on the development of primary care physical therapy services, including research into direct access models and interprofessional collaboration to improve access and outcomes in musculoskeletal care. She is a published author in the area of primary care pediatrics and is deeply invested in building sustainable clinical and academic partnerships to support physical therapy’s evolving role in integrated care.

Dr. Dobler is an engaged member of the APTA and contributes to local and national initiatives that support innovation in physical therapy education and interprofessional practice.
