Item/Job/Service Description

The open position is a full-time in-person faculty position on the LSU Health Shreveport Physical Therapy program faculty, but it will be at a new off-campus instructional site in Lafayette, Louisiana. This position reports to, and will work closely with, the program director in Shreveport. There will be a significant administrative role coordinating the site in Lafayette.

Initial tasks will relate to:

• Obtaining approval for the off
• campus instructional site through CAPTE
• Participating in the hiring of other faculty members
• Preparing for the admission of the first cohort of students
• Besides administration, responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, service, and student advising once a cohort is enrolled. Qualifications
• Eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Louisiana
• Possess an academic doctoral degree (Ph.D., EdD, DSc, DHS, or equivalent), although candidates in the final year of their dissertation may also be considered
• Demonstration of excellence in previous teaching experience
• Ability to work independently toward goals as well as collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders from a diverse background Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hybrid education and board certification in any area of physical therapy is desirable.
