Boston University Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Lecturer within the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. This position is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month faculty appointment beginning September 1, 2024.

Faculty at the Lecturer level at Boston University are expected to contribute to teaching within their assigned department and contribute to service in the program, college, and to the physical therapy profession.

We are seeking an individual with clinical expertise in their practice domain who is interested in overseeing, teaching, and contributing to designated areas within the DPT program. These may include overseeing capstone experiences, serving as a course and/or laboratory instructor (aligned with the candidate’s content expertise) and/or contributing to case-based activities within the curriculum. Responsibilities also include advising DPT students and serving on department, college, and/or professional committees. We are seeking an individual to join a strong faculty dedicated to pushing the boundaries of education to optimize the growth and development of our students. Qualifications of the successful candidate include: - professional degree (DPT) and a current PT license, MA eligible - minimum of five years of clinical practice - clinical expertise in designated practice area; ABPTS board certification preferred - excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills - strong organization, administrative and problem-solving skills - previous academic teaching beyond clinical supervision required - record of service to their institution and/or physical therapy profession
