Multiple NAU Faculty Positions/DCE Position (Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona)
The Northern Arizona University (NAU) Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program is a leader in Competency and Entrustment-Based Education (CEBE) to meet evolving health needs of society. A CEBE approach seamlessly aligns outcomes and assessment processes throughout a curriculum of didactic and clinical education courses to prepare graduates for the demands of physical therapy clinical practice. The NAU DPT Program consists of one hybrid program and two residential programs located in Phoenix and Flagstaff. With program growth, the NAU DPT Program seeks multiple candidates whose professional experiences support this paradigm shift and the use of technology reflective of the future of health professions education. The anticipated start dates are May-August of 2026.
There are two 12-month faculty positions available in our downtown Phoenix residential program. There is one 12-month Director of Clinical Education faculty position available in either our residential Phoenix or Flagstaff program.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Open-Rank Tenure-Track Professor (Phoenix)
- Terminal academic doctoral degree (i.e. PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited institution in a field related to physical therapy.
- Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
- Contemporary expertise in physical therapy.
- Record of effective clinical or academic teaching of physical therapy learners.
2. Assistant Clinical Professor (Phoenix)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of three years of full-time
- Contemporary expertise in physical therapy beyond musculoskeletal and orthopedic care.
- Record of effective clinical or academic teaching of physical therapy learners.
3. Director of Clinical Experience / Assistant Clinical Professor (Phoenix OR Flagstaff)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
- Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum of three years of full-time
- Record of effective clinical or academic teaching of physical therapy learners.
- Contemporary expertise in legislative, regulatory, legal, and practice issues affecting clinical education, learners, and the profession.
