Title: Physical Therapists and the Vicarious Resilience Scale (VRS): Measuring the positive effects of working with patients recovering from traumatic events
Ideal Participant: PTs whose patients have experienced a traumatic event
Description: The purpose of this study is to examine the development of vicarious resilience in physical therapists. Vicarious resilience encompasses the positive transformations therapists experience in response to witnessing the resilience and recovery process of their patients. With 5-15 minutes of your time, your valuable feedback may help inform the development of structural support and training provided to SPTs and PTs who will experience second-hand trauma. Additionally, reflecting on your strengths and positive attributes through this questionnaire may help you to habitually enhance further positive growth, experience satisfaction, and realize personal affirmation through your work.
