Developing Hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Position Summary South College is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and forward-thinking academic leader to serve as Program Director for the developing Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at the Pittsburgh Campus.
The Program Director will provide academic, administrative, and strategic leadership throughout program development, the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) candidacy process, implementation of the curriculum, and launch of the inaugural cohort. Following program launch, the Program Director will provide ongoing leadership to ensure program quality, accreditation compliance, faculty effectiveness, student success, and achievement of established program outcomes.
The Pittsburgh DPT Program is designed as a hybrid-remote program, combining online learning with required on-campus laboratory intensive experiences at the South College Pittsburgh Campus in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The Program Director may work remotely but must be available for regular travel to the Pittsburgh Campus, including quarterly on-campus laboratory intensives, faculty activities, accreditation-related activities, and other program needs. Relocation to the Pittsburgh area is encouraged but not required.
The Program Director works collaboratively with the School of Rehabilitation Sciences Dean, South College leadership, fellow South College DPT Program Directors, faculty, staff, and institutional partners to develop and sustain a high-quality, contemporary physical therapist education program.
