The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Trine University, located in the state-of-the-art Health Sciences Education Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position. This role supports the ongoing growth and excellence of Trine’s innovative, patient-centered DPT curriculum. Qualified candidates should have experience teaching graduate physical therapy students. Depending on individual qualifications, there are opportunities to teach foundational topics of physical therapy practice or specialized areas such as integumentary care, orthopedics, or cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. This is a full-time, 12-month position with a preferred start date of August 2026. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 As a core member of the DPT program faculty, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, advising, mentoring students, participating in scholarship and service activities, and assisting with program assessment. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Terminal academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) in a field related to physical therapy
Eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist in Indiana.
Evidence of ability to effectively conduct research and peer-reviewed dissemination of findings.
Demonstrated current expertise in physical therapy.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Terminal academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) in a field related to physical therapy.
A record of successful teaching and scholarship.
For teaching content specific to physical therapy practice, three years of full-time post-licensure clinical experience.
